As part of the Heritage Month celebrations, The Jesus Collective will present Ons Ga Saamtrek, a free live streaming Gospel music and ministry event, on Saturday September 26 at 6pm.
Members of the music ministry who will be performing on the night are Loyiso Bala, Khaya Mthethwa, Spencer J Kennedy, Hle Ntombela, SK, Varonica Meyer and Don Vino, according to a press release issued by The Jesus Collective.
The public will be able to stream in live for this three hour event, from The Jesus Collective Facebook Page, or YouTube Channel.
Hilton Petersen, founder of The Jesus Collective, explains how the title Ons Ga Saamtrek came about: “We are facing many challenges in this unprecedented season, which is not new to God. Many are living in fear and hopelessness. I was reminded of the times when my mother would attend the ‘Saamtrek’ conferences, where the church branches gathered together to praise and worship God. Whenever my mom returned, whatever issues had laid heavy on her, were no longer an issue. Unity in praise and worship always gets God’s attention, and He begins to move on our behalf.”
“The event will also be a celebration of the Gospel roots in South Africa as we celebrate Heritage Month,” adds Bala.
Due to the Covid-19 regulations, the live event, which will be streamed from a venue in Cape Town, can only host 50 attendees, however five tickets to the event are up for grabs. Visit The Jesus Collective Facebook Page or Instagram account and comment on the Ons Ga Saamtrek event poster about “What worship means to you?” with the hashtag, #ektreksaam. Winners will be notified on Monday September 21.
Seeing people come to experience the love of Jesus through worship inspired Hilton Petersen to start The Jesus Collective. The ministry reaches all demographics of people, as all events, whether streaming in or attending live, are free of charge.
