God is going to intervene at It’s Time Pretoria — Angus Buchan

“The population of South Africa is buying into this prayer meeting because we are facing a potential civil war — and if God doesn’t intervene we will be in a very bad situation.”

“The good news is that God is going to intervene because God’s people are going to come together on the 27th of October at Rhino Park airfield, and we are going to pray.”

These were the words of farmer evangelist Angus Buchan during a telephone interview with him yesterday about the It’s Time Pretoria national prayer gathering that is now three weeks and one day away, and which he is urging Christians in SA to attend as a matter of priority.

“You know, I am supposed to be known as the man of faith — Faith Like Potatoes. Yet, I was rebuked when I shared the vision in Pretoria with leaders and said I am really trusting God for two million people. They said ‘What’s wrong with you, why have you so little faith? They said to me — a minimum of five million,” he continued.

He said the people of Mamelodi, a township northeast of Pretoria, have caught the vision of the prayer day.

“They’ve got 300 churches in Mamelodi. They say they are going to do a prayer walk — of 18 kilometres. They are starting at three in the morning. They will be there in time for the meeting — and they are talking about a million people walking.

“My team tell me we have 2 000 buses available and 20 000 taxis — and that they are cutting the taxi fares to the bone. I am so excited,” he said.

Emphasising the purpose of the It’s Time event, he said it will not be an evangelistic outreach but a national prayer initiative for the country.

“The purpose of the prayer meeting is to bring healing to the country. In case you’ve forgotten we’ve got elections taking place in a few months time. and we want God to intervene and stop the disregard for human life, racism, hatred, corruption, gender abuse .

“We want peace. That’s why we are appealing to the Prince of Peace to undertake for us,” he said.

He said the majority of people in SA deeply desire peace, and nobody more so than the people who live in townships, because they were suffering more than the people in suburbs.

Buchan is adamant that believers should make every effort to be at It’s Time.

“I put out a video clip yesterday to challenge all businesses to close their businesses on the day. Many of them have already signed up for it — to close their businesses and to take their people there. I am talking about farmers, I’m talking about sports clubs, I’m talking about universities, I’m talking about schools, I’m talking about mines, I’m talking about forestry — to take their people there!

“On our farm there will be no church service on the Sunday. You know we have a 500-seat church? We will be hiring buses and going up there camping.

“For the guys who say it is too far, they will just pray at home, let me tell you there is a professional trumpeter who played at the Sacred Assembly (A mass prayer gathering in at the FNB Stadium in Soweto in 2016). He is not a South African, he is an Englishman who I met three years ago at Heathrow Airport.

“He is coming. He is married to a South African. He is a professional trumpeter; he plays for the London Philharmonic Orchestra. He will get on a plane at Heathrow on Friday night and he will be there at the prayer meeting. I am going to ask him to play Amazing Grace on the trumpet.

“When he is finished, we are taking him straight back to the OR Tambo Airport. He’s getting on a plane; he’s flying to Heathrow. He’ll get to Heathrow on Sunday monring. On Sunday afternoon he’s playing in a concert for the London Philharmonic orchestra. And he’s paying his own way. That’s going the extra mile. That’s the kind of commitment we are looking for.”

Buchan had more to say to people who had good reasons not to be at Rhino Park Airfield on October 27.

“You know, if people are getting married on that day, they either need to get married the week before, or the week after. I will tell you why — what is the point of getting married and living in a country where there is no future?”

“And I’m telling you there is a future. Because we will be coming together to pray.”

May our Lord always guide him and bless him abundantly for more events like this one that’s going to be a success in Pretoria for sure .. Amen THANK YOU JESUS

  2. I’m going to pray that day too, here in England.
South Africa, where I was born and raised and ‘sent from’ to many nations for Him, is a very important nation in His plans for the Kingdom. I wonder if anyone realises that; workng for Him to have a whole nation that glorifies Him.

  3. It’s Time for What???

I have read several many reports about the upcoming gathering of the 5 Million and not in any of those reports do I recall the Name of Jesus Christ being lifted up above the name of the convenor.

Why on earth do you want to assemble 5 million unrepentant people with blood on their hands, when God has already told us what He requires. Just read Matt 6:5-8, Matt 15:7-20 and 1Ti 2:1-6 and you will get a good idea.

    This article starts off with:
“The population of South Africa is buying into this prayer meeting because we are facing a potential civil war — and if God doesn’t intervene we will be in a very bad situation.”
“The good news is that God is going to intervene because God’s people are going to come together on the 27th of October at Rhino Park airfield, and we are going to pray.”

All I can say is: “really???” The population is actually called upon to be reconciled to God through our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and to be reconciled to one another.

2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
    2Co 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
2Co 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
2Co 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
2Co 5:21 For he hath made him to be (a) sin (sacrifice) for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

I think we can safely say that only between 1 and 2 percent of the nation are truly Born Again, Spirit filled Christians. South Africa is bluffing itself when it says that between 70 and 90 percent of the nation is Christian.

REMEMBER THE ACCOUNT WHEN DAVID TOOK PRIDE IN COUNTING HIS ARMY???
2 Samuel 24 The Message (MSG)
24 1-2 Once again God’s anger blazed out against Israel. He tested David by telling him, “Go and take a census of Israel and Judah.” So David gave orders to Joab and the army officers under him, “Canvass all the tribes of Israel, from Dan to Beersheba, and get a count of the population. I want to know the number.”
3 But Joab resisted the king: “May your God multiply people by the hundreds right before the eyes of my master the king, but why on earth would you do a thing like this?”
4-9 Nevertheless, the king insisted, and so Joab and the army officers left the king to take a census of Israel. They crossed the Jordan and began with Aroer and the town in the canyon of the Gadites near Jazer, proceeded through Gilead, passed Hermon, then on to Dan, but detoured Sidon. They covered Fort Tyre and all the Hivite and Canaanite cities, and finally reached the Negev of Judah at Beersheba. They canvassed the whole country and after nine months and twenty days arrived back in Jerusalem. Joab gave the results of the census to the king: 800,000 able-bodied fighting men in Israel; in Judah 500,000.
10 But when it was all done, David was overwhelmed with guilt because he had counted the people, replacing trust with statistics. And David prayed to God, “I have sinned badly in what I have just done. But now God forgive my guilt—I’ve been really stupid.”
10 David felt ashamed after he had counted the people. He said to the Lord, “I have sinned greatly by what I have done. Lord, I beg you to forgive me, your servant, because I have been very foolish.”
11 When David got up in the morning, the Lord spoke his word to Gad, who was a prophet and David’s seer. 12 The Lord told Gad, “Go and tell David, ‘This is what the Lord says: I offer you three choices. Choose one of them and I will do it to you.’”
13 So Gad went to David and said to him, “Should three years of hunger come to you and your land? Or should your enemies chase you for three months? Or should there be three days of disease in your land? Think about it. Then decide which of these things I should tell the Lord who sent me.”
    ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
I know I am sticking my neck out here. I remember that at least on one occasion the Editor of Gateway News told me that he is not interested in my doctrine. Nevertheless and because this is not “my doctrine” but the Word of God, I am taking the liberty to high-light the following scriptures for you to at least think about.

I am not expecting the stiffed necked Church of Jesus Christ in South Africa to pay much attention, but one can only hope that maybe one or two truly Born Again God fearing Christians will take note and possibly pass the message on to others who may just possibly be receptive to what God is saying to His Church in South Africa.

Let’s ask ourselves the main question, which is: “Why is South Africa such a wicked Godless nation?
    Answer:
Firstly, it is because the Church of Jesus Christ in South Africa, with innocent blood on its hands, has failed to proclaim the undiluted Gospel of Jesus Christ to the nation and has winked at not some, but many of the most detestable sins, which God calls an abomination and that seriously grieves the heart of our Most Holy God.

Secondly, it is said that between 70 and 90 percent of the people in South Africa are “Christian” but that can never be correct, especially if one takes into consideration the latest crime statistics.

Thirdly, this same 70 to 90 percent are the very same people who voted into power the ungodly and corrupt politicians into power to rule over them and then these same people cry out against the calamity that has overtaken the nation and then they wonder why God does not hear their cry and bless the nation. This is not something new, so let me quote a scripture for you to think about.

1SA 8:18 AND YE SHALL CRY OUT IN THAT DAY BECAUSE OF YOUR KING WHICH YE SHALL HAVE CHOSEN YOU; AND THE LORD WILL NOT HEAR YOU IN THAT DAY.

The main characteristic of someone who calls himself or herself a Christian is obedience to the Word of God and submission to the leading of the Holy Spirit. These qualities are almost non-existent in the behaviour of most of the 70 – 90 percent South Africans, who call themselves “Christians”. Then they wonder why their prayers are not heard.

    Jesus said:
Joh_14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Joh_14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

This is what today’s South African Christian says: “We are not under the law, but under grace” and then they carry on sinning. They say they love God, but they continue we serve the devil.

    • What is God’s Grace? It is His goodness, His kindness and His undeserved mercy.
    • What is the purpose of His goodness and kindness? To lead us to repent.
    • What is God’s mercy? It is His undeserved continual readiness to always give us an opportunity to confess and repent of our wrong-doing, also known as sin.

The South African Church seems to have forgotten that the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross and the shedding of His blood on the Cross only did away with the sacrificial laws and not the moral laws of God. The Moral Laws of God will remain forever, no matter what the clever people tell us.

On top of that, the instructions or commandments that Jesus gave us are much, much more severe and demanding than those in the Ten Commandments. That is why we need to be thoroughly Born Again so that the Holy Spirit can guide us and lead us in every situation as we go through in life.

    Jesus said:
Joh 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Joh 15:8 Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
Joh 15:9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
Joh 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
Joh 15:11 These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.
Joh 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
Joh 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Joh 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

South African “believers” can sing “What a friend we have in Jesus” until they are blue in the face, but it will not change the fact that Jesus is not their friend.
That means that God is also not their friend and until they repent and start submitting to the leading of God’s Holy Spirit, they cannot expect to have their prayers answered, no matter how big the prayer group is.

Here are some more scriptures (without my comments) for you to chew on about why God turns a deaf ear to the prayers of a wicked nation with its wicked rulers and His unrepentant and hard-hearted children, who always seem to think they know better.

    THE PENALTY FOR REBELLION
Deu 1:42 “But the LORD said to me, ‘Warn them not to attack, for I will not be with them, and their enemies will defeat them.’
Deu 1:43 I told you what the LORD had said, but you paid no attention. You rebelled against him, and in your pride you marched into the hill country.
Deu 1:44 Then the Amorites who lived in those hills came out against you like a swarm of bees. They chased you as far as Hormah and defeated you there in the hill country of Edom.
Deu 1:45 So you cried out to the LORD for help, but he would not listen to you or pay any attention to you.
    …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
1Sa 14:37 So Saul asked God, “Shall I attack the Philistines? Will you give us victory?” But God did not answer that day.
1Sa 14:38 Then Saul said to the leaders of the people, “Come here and find out what sin was committed today.
    …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
1Sa 28:4 The Philistine troops assembled and camped near the town of Shunem; Saul gathered the Israelites and camped at Mount Gilboa.
1Sa 28:5 When Saul saw the Philistine army, he was terrified,
1Sa 28:6 and so he asked the LORD what to do. But the LORD did not answer him at all, either by dreams or by the use of Urim and Thummim or by prophets.

SOME MORE CAUSES OF UNANSWERED PRAYER
    SECRET SINS
Psa 66:16 Come and listen, all who honour God, and I will tell you what he has done for me.
Psa 66:17 I cried to him for help; I praised him with songs.
Psa 66:18 If I had ignored my sins, the Lord would not have listened to me.

    INDIFFERENCE
Pro 1:22 “Foolish people! How long do you want to be foolish? How long will you enjoy making fun of knowledge? Will you never learn?
Pro 1:23 Listen when I reprimand you; I will give you good advice and share my knowledge with you.
Pro 1:24 I have been calling you, inviting you to come, but you would not listen. You paid no attention to me.
Pro 1:25 You have ignored all my advice and have not been willing to let me correct you.
Pro 1:26 So when you get into trouble, I will laugh at you. I will make fun of you when terror strikes—
Pro 1:27 when it comes on you like a storm, bringing fierce winds of trouble, and you are in pain and misery.
Pro 1:28 Then you will call for wisdom, but I will not answer. You may look for me everywhere, but you will not find me.
Pro 1:29 You have never had any use for knowledge and have always refused to obey the LORD.
Pro 1:30 You have never wanted my advice or paid any attention when I corrected you.
Pro 1:31 So then, you will get what you deserve, and your own actions will make you sick.
Pro 1:32 Inexperienced people die because they reject wisdom. Stupid people are destroyed by their own lack of concern.
Pro 1:33 But whoever listens to me will have security. He will be safe, with no reason to be afraid.”

    NEGLECT OF MERCY
Pro 21:12 God, the righteous one, knows what goes on in the homes of the wicked, and he will bring the wicked down to ruin.
Pro 21:13 If you refuse to listen to the cry of the poor, your own cry for help will not be heard.

    DESPISING THE LAW
Pro 28:6 Better to be poor and honest than rich and dishonest.
Pro 28:7 Young people who obey the law are intelligent. Those who make friends with good-for-nothings are a disgrace to their parents.
Pro 28:8 If you get rich by charging interest and taking advantage of people, your wealth will go to someone who is kind to the poor.
Pro 28:9 If you do not obey the law, God will find your prayers too hateful to hear.
Pro 28:10 If you trick an honest person into doing evil, you will fall into your own trap. The innocent will be well rewarded.
Pro 28:11 Rich people always think they are wise, but a poor person who has insight into character knows better.
Pro 28:12 When good people come to power, everybody celebrates, but when bad people rule, people stay in hiding.
Pro 28:13 You will never succeed in life if you try to hide your sins. Confess them and give them up; then God will show mercy to you.
Pro 28:14 Always obey the LORD and you will be happy. If you are stubborn, you will be ruined.

    BLOOD-GUILTINESS
Isa 1:15 “When you lift your hands in prayer, I will not look at you. No matter how much you pray, I will not listen, for your hands are covered with blood.
Isa 1:16 Wash yourselves clean. Stop all this evil that I see you doing. Yes, stop doing evil
Isa 1:17 and learn to do right. See that justice is done—help those who are oppressed, give orphans their rights, and defend widows.”
Isa 1:18 The LORD says, “Now, let’s settle the matter. You are stained red with sin, but I will wash you as clean as snow. Although your stains are deep red, you will be as white as wool.
Isa 1:19 If you will only obey me, you will eat the good things the land produces.
Isa 1:20 But if you defy me, you are doomed to die. I, the LORD, have spoken.”

    INIQUITY
Isa 59:2 But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
Isa 59:3 For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.
Isa 59:4 None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.
Mic 3:4 Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but he will not hear them: he will even hide his face from them at that time, as they have behaved themselves ill in their doings.

    STUBBORNNESS
Zec 7:8 The LORD gave this message to Zechariah:
Zec 7:9 “Long ago I gave these commands to my people: ‘You must see that justice is done, and must show kindness and mercy to one another.
Zec 7:10 Do not oppress widows, orphans, foreigners who live among you, or anyone else in need. And do not plan ways of harming one another.’
Zec 7:11 “But my people stubbornly refused to listen. They closed their minds
Zec 7:12 and made their hearts as hard as rock. Because they would not listen to the teaching which I sent through the prophets who lived long ago, I became very angry.
Zec 7:13 Because they did not listen when I spoke, I did not answer when they prayed.
Zec 7:14 Like a storm I swept them away to live in foreign countries. This good land was left a desolate place, with no one living in it.”

I could give you many more scriptures along the same lines, but it will probably not make any difference because you have chosen (like before) to heed the call from a celebrity preacher (who probably means well) and ignore the call from God:

Mat 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Mat 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Mat 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
    ………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
Mat 15:7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
Mat 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
Mat 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
Mat 15:10 And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:
Mat 15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:
    …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..
    1Ti 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
1Ti 2:2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
    1Ti 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
1Ti 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
    1Ti 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
1Ti 2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Selah, be still, think about that.

What will bless God more? OBEYING HIS WORD or ATTENDING THE BIG MEETING?

Here is a Call to Professional Priests and all Believer Priests to Repentance

Joe 1:13 Put on sackcloth and weep, you priests who serve at the altar! Go into the Temple and mourn all night! There is no grain or wine to offer your God.
Joe 1:14 Give orders for a fast; call an assembly! Gather the leaders and all the people of Judah into the Temple of the LORD your God and cry out to him!
Joe 1:15 The day of the LORD is near, the day when the Almighty brings destruction. What terror that day will bring!
Joe 1:16 We look on helpless as our crops are destroyed. There is no joy in the Temple of our God.
    ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Here is Another Call to Professional Priests and all Believer Priests to Return to the Lord

Joe 2:12 “But even now,” says the LORD, “repent sincerely and return to me with fasting and weeping and mourning.
Joe 2:13 Let your broken heart show your sorrow; tearing your clothes is not enough.” Come back to the LORD your God. He is kind and full of mercy; he is patient and keeps his promise; he is always ready to forgive and not punish.
Joe 2:14 Perhaps the LORD your God will change his mind and bless you with abundant crops. Then you can offer him grain and wine.
Joe 2:15 Blow the trumpet on Mount Zion; give orders for a fast and call an assembly!
Joe 2:16 Gather the people together; prepare them for a sacred meeting; bring the old people; gather the children and the babies too. Even newly married couples must leave their homes and come.
Joe 2:17 The priests, serving the LORD between the altar and the entrance of the Temple, must weep and pray: “Have pity on your people, LORD. Do not let other nations despise us and mock us by saying, ‘Where is your God?’ “
