There was jubilation at Nabyewanga play ground located in Mpigi district, in central Uganda when an Imam scheduled for eye surgery this month experienced God’s healing power upon attending a church crusade.

In a statement on August, 13, Pastor Robert Kayanja, the founder and senior pastor of the Miracle Centre Cathedral – Rubaga, revealed via his Facebook page that Imam Kavuma Bruhan, a resident of Bukoroto village located in Bugerere county, Kayunga district, got healed after attending an evangelical meeting graced by the pastor.

In the statement, Pastor Robert Kayanja stated that Imam Kavuma was in a mosque reading “Khutbah” two and a-half years ago when, “something came over his eyes”.

Since then, the pastor revealed, the Islamic leader’s eyes went blind and he “couldn’t see anything at all.”

“He went to Kayunga hospital and saw an eye specialist who recommended him to go for an operation. They had scheduled an appointment with the doctors in Jinja to do this operation on August 21 and had even deposited 600 000 shillings (R2 609) though it was not enough,” the statement reads.

“His daughter Mrs Hawa Zziwa who fellowships at Miracle Centre Cathedral heard about the crusade, she decided to bring her father from Bugerere — Bukoloto to Nabyewanga play ground Mpigi District where the crusade was – but with faith that God will heal his dad,” it continues.

Adding: “When pastor Robert Kayanja prayed for the sick , Imam felt something leave his eyes and immediately after his sight was restored and he was able to see ,everyone and everything in his line of sight, totally healed by the power of God.”
