It’s time for another “It’s Time” prayer gathering and this time it will be held on an airfield on the outskirts of Pretoria.
“I am so excited about this!” Angus Buchan, known by South Africans as Uncle Angus, said during a press conference in Pretoria about the mass prayer meeting scheduled for October 27.
“I know in my spirit that this will be the biggest prayer gathering the country has ever seen, bigger than the It’s Time gathering in Bloemfontein.”
He said God is calling all South Africans again, to intervene on behalf of the country.
“Our nation is on a knife’s edge and everyone is looking for an outcome, no matter the skin colour or religion, we are all searching for a peaceful resolution.”
Uncle Angus energetically shared that despite the challenges facing the country his heart was full of hope for South Africa.
“I am a farmer, my feet are planted firmly on the ground, and I know it does not look good, but God brings new hope!” he said.
“I was hounded by Holy Spirit for months now, to call the people of this country together again to pray. I am only blowing the trumpet – this is a gathering for the people and by the people of the country. We cannot do it alone, we need the help of everyone to make it happen.”
“Contrary to the critics,” Uncle Angus said, “I am not a multi-millionaire, and I have no personal agenda. I am just obeying God.
“Therefore there will be no ticket sales and no collections during the event. It is not about me, or my message, nor is it about politics.
“It is about God’s plan for restoration for this country!”
Uncle Angus proceeded to quote Abraham Lincoln: ” ‘I have been driven many times upon my knees by the overwhelming conviction that I had nowhere else to go.’
“We as country need to fight this battle on our knees; it is the only way to move forward,” he said.
“And that is why I believe, people from all races, church denominations and faith, will come together to seek an answer from God.”
He said the scripture given for the It’s Time meeting is Mark 14:38 – ‘”Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak””.
“It’s time for us to stand in unison and pray fervently, until God brings change, because change will come and God will establish a peace. There will not be a civil war, but it is up to us to use this opportunity to come together in unity before God. He will answer, and He will intervene.”
Uncle Angus believes this prayer meeting will be a testimony to Africa and to the rest of the world.
“In the last couple of months I have been travelling to Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and other African nations. They are watching us with a keen interest, wondering what will happen here.
“Even the rest of the world is watching us. We have to show them all that we can unite as a nation, and that God alone can save this country. We have to walk out our faith, and be a true testimony to the world.”

He ended the meeting with a heartfelt prayer for the media and the country. “We need to pray for this meeting, and pray furthermore. Pray until we get an answer from God.”
I believe that it must be a call for Christians and not people of all faiths to gather. The Bible states clearly ” If My people who are called by My name would humble themselves and pray” This talks about those who are relationally connected to God.
