More than 700 people from 45 nations gathered at the recent 2025 Love Africa missions conference in Kabwe, Zambia to worship God and inspire and equip one another to reach the least reached.
Operation Mobilisation (OM) workers, church leaders, professionals and students came together under the theme “Kingdom Participation” at the annual event hosted by OM from August 14 to 17.
Inspired by 1 Peter 2:9 (But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.), the event celebrated the unique identity and calling of every believer to serve and be sent.
Through worship, workshops, storytelling, and strategic collaboration, the 2025 Love Africa event created a deep sense of unity and purpose, equipping attendees to engage in missions, share transformational stories, and be commissioned to reach the least reached across Africa and beyond.
“What stood out for me was learning to minister in the workplace, we tend to take God out of work and then bring Him back into our day after work, when we get home and sit with our bible. We need to follow God even in the workplace. [The teachings] really changed my mindset about that…” noted an attendee from the Faroe Islands, Frida Gregersen.

The atmosphere throughout the event was filled with worship, meaningful conversations, and moments of deep connection. The shared purpose was clear: to connect with God and one another, to collaborate across mission fields, denominations and giftings, and to be commissioned afresh for the task of reaching the least reached. From crowded workshop rooms to spontaneous prayers in the hallways, every moment reflected a community committed to serving together.
“We worked together wholeheartedly and ended each day fulfilled — it truly felt like experiencing the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth,” said Carmen King of OM Africa marketing and communication, as she reflected on the event.

The programme was designed to inspire and equip participants around three central themes: Kingdom Priests, Chosen Generation, and Redemptive Mission. Each day offered a rich blend of activities, including vibrant worship sessions, thought-provoking keynote addresses, practical workshops, and insightful interviews.
Boago Matshuba from Botswana shared: “I learned the value of taking risks for the Kingdom of God.”
OM was founded in 1975 by George Verwer, to share God’s love with those who don’t know it and to establish vibrant communities of Jesus followers among the least-reached people globally.
The Love Africa conference is just one part of a vibrant, continent-wide missions movement designed to mobilise, empower and activate the Church in Africa for global impact. The desire is for participants to take lessons learnt during the conference into everyday life back home.
“We are a chosen people, called to serve, sent to love, and strengthened as we go together. The Love Africa Conference is an experience beyond words, come and see for yourself what God is doing in and through Africa.” said Thabiso Mashamaite, the Lead Coordinator for Love Africa.
“Your participation, encouragement, prayers, and partnership are part of every story told, and every step taken toward the least reached – Join us for the next Love Africa Conference in August 2026,” says OM. Find out more at: https://omloveafrica.org/
