Two members of the MMC WC Executive Committee, namely Piperjames (Chairman) and Ina Murison-McGowan (Pipey’s’ wife and Head of Marketing), together with the speakers invited to minister at MMC WC 2015, recently met with MMC founder Angus Buchan at Shalom Ministries’ headquarters near Greytown, KwaZulu-Natal. The meeting, on Friday, May 2015 was part of the requirement to host MMC WC 2015.

zanemeasZane Meas (right), Founder of the ‘Fatherhood Foundation‘ and well-known actor on 7de Laan on SABC2 (Neville Meintjies), who is also one of the main speakers at MMC WC, could not make the meeting because of TV work commitments. But he will meet with Uncle Angus later.

Flying from the ‘Mother City’ to Durban early on May 29, then driving to Shalom, the team arrived safely at or about the very same time as the Mighty Men of the Free State and Gauteng. After ‘meeting and greeting’ each other and a few joyful tunes on the War Pipes (Bagpipes) by Piperjames, Uncle Angus then invited everyone to a private audience with him, along with his trusted advisory team

Prayer and discussions
Uncle Angus spoke about the importance of what Mighty Men is all about and what is expected. He then prayed for all in attendance and all that attended prayed for Uncle Angus too. Angus then had photographs with all present and then a meeting was held covering all the Mighty Men Conferences around South Africa.

A special request was put forward to Shalom for Uncle Angus to do a short video ‘specifically’ for the Mighty Men of the Western Cape. A video of encouragement to help the men to stay on course. This will be done in July or just after, but in time for the conference in September.

Shalom is very excited that the Western Cape is on board and part of the ‘Shalom’ and ‘Mighty Men’ Family. Partaking in, and being on a huge platform of ‘evangelising that Uncle Angus and Shalom has built up over the years and who are now reaching some 90 million people around the world at any one time. MMC WC are very proud to be on this amazing journey and will do all that it can to maintain the high standards of Mighty Men and keep the mandate and vision alive.

The meeting was followed by lunch before everyone set off back home. Shalom staff did all the visitors proud with a spread fit for their special guests from the Kaap, Free-state and Guateng.

“Thanks everyone, we really appreciate all that you did for us”, says Pipey.

Ina, the only lady present and who is known to all Mighty Men, especially in the Kaap as ‘Mighty Ma’ was also honoured to have been part of the delegation at Shalom. Uncle Angus is pleased with all that she is doing for Mighty Men, not just in the Kaap but countrywide. Constantly promoting not just the Western Capes gathering but all official MMC Conferences. Angus expressed his appreciation to Ina for keeping the men focused — amazing!

MMC WC looks forward to welcoming as many men as possible to their gathering at Moreson Farm (N7) near Malmesbury over the weekend of September 25, 26 and 27, 2015.
