Synopsis:
THE ROAD TO PARADISE BEGINS WITH A JOURNEY OF THE HEART.
“Welcome to Paradise” is an inspirational family film about a preacher, Debbie Laramie (Crystal Bernard) and her son Hayden (Bobby Edner). They are sent from a big city church to the small town of Paradise, where Debbie finds a community in desperate need of direction and a town that turns its back on its neediest neighbors. She begins to build a new vision for her congregation that embraces everyone, even the poor and outcast, and the veil of indifference begins to lift. Debbie invites Trevor Goodman, (Lou Beatty, Jr.) an elderly black man living on the streets, to sing at the church service. As the church begins to embrace Debbie’s methods, the congregation begins to find their own sense of inspiration, tolerance and consideration. Something happens that might cause the church’s charter to be revoked.
DOVE Review:
This fantastic story is about love, faith, endurance, and forgiveness. Crystal Bernard brings her character to life with her easy going style and sweet smile that makes you feel like part of the congregation. This uplifting movie includes some wonderful music and inspirational messages that will leave the entire family blessed and entertained. – www.dove.org

PG 13 V – Not Recommended for Younger Children.
Synopsis:
PAN is a new family fantasy that tells the origins of Peter Pan and how he came to live in Neverland. PAN is a little scary in parts for younger children, and has some brief foul language, but is a fabulous adventure with a strong moral worldview and positive redemptive elements.
Movieguide Review:
PAN is a new family fantasy that reveals Peter Pan’s origins. When he’s just a baby, Peter’s mother leaves him at an orphanage run by nuns. Twelve years later, Blackbeard the Pirate’s men kidnap Peter and some of the other orphans. They take them in Blackbeard’s flying ship to Neverland. There, Blackbeard makes them dig for fairy dust in a huge quarry amid giant rock formations. Peter hears of a prophecy among the natives in Neverland about a boy saviour who can fly who will destroy Blackbeard. When Peter gets into trouble, Blackbeard makes him walk the plank, but Peter is almost able to fly away by thinking a happy thought. Is Peter the boy saviour?
PAN is an exciting adventure with stunning images. The actors give delightful, spirited performances. PAN has a moral, redemptive worldview stressing family and saving people of Neverland, but some scary moments may be too much for younger children. Also, the head nun in the orphanage is mean and greedy, and lying is accepted by adults, but forgiveness is sought. PAN warrants caution for older children. – www.movieguide.org
