MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING 2
Movie Trailer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQ-1Ts3BChM
FOR AGES 12 AND OVER
Synopsis:
In My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, Toula must put on a wedding for her elderly parents when they discover their priest never signed their marriage certificate, while also grappling with her 17-year-old daughter who wants to attend a college far away from her overbearing family. My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 has a messy storyline that doesn’t charm like the first movie, but there are some sweet and touching moments and Christian, moral elements, but also some objectionable elements that warrant caution for older children.
Dove Review:
My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 is a tribute to a large, loving family who are very, very close (literally). The film is a little slow in the beginning but picks up the pace when the patriarch and matriarch realise that they were not legally married 50 years ago. The plot surrounds not only them but the entire family as they work together to plan a new wedding for the older couple.
Compassion and strong family ties are virtues that are reinforced throughout the film as both the old and young family members realise what is truly important in life. Although some scenes involve innuendos, they are subtle and are often humorous. We are pleased to award this film our Dove Seal for ages 12 and older and encourage families to watch this romantic comedy together. – www.dove.org
