Synopsis:
An original new animated series which features the universal messages and teachings from the most influential man in history. A wholesome, broad-based entertainment experience for the whole family. Iesodo: pronounced yeah-sah-doe (Yay-sa-doe) is a Japanese word meaning “The way of Jesus”. Our creative approach is designed to bring the “teachings of Jesus” to kids and families through a high quality animated series.
Dove Review:
Iesodo is a beautiful white dove and all that a dove represents. This is a charming story about how one faithful dove can bring a change to the world of birds. He shows all the other birds the right path to take, the importance of kindness, helping others and sharing with others.
The Gathering: This short tale will impart important lessons and values to all who view it. It is an entertaining, colourfully animated DVD that uses the peaceful symbol of a dove as the main character Iesodo. He is an allegory of Jesus in the bird world, his teachings are faithful and educational. Everyone in the family will love this series plus the wonderful music included in each episode.
Seeing is Believing: In this episode there is a blind bird, from birth, trying to find food and learn how to fly and there are mean birds that want to get rid of him. But other birds who have learned that believing in Iesodo, through faith, give this new comer a little help. Plus what the little bird wants most is to meet Iesodo.
The lessons taught in this episode are: believing makes anything possible, that being popular is not always as rewarding as you think and helping others gives you a good feeling. We are pleased to award Iesodo the Dove “Family-Approved” Seal for all ages. — www.dove.org

Summary:
Over the holidays, Ned (Bryan Cranston), an overprotective but loving dad and his family visit his daughter at Stanford, where he meets his biggest nightmare: her well-meaning but socially awkward Silicon Valley billionaire boyfriend, Laird (James Franco). The rivalry develops, and Ned’s panic level goes through the roof when he finds himself lost in this glamorous high-tech world and learns that Laird is about to pop the question.
Dove Review:
Effective January 1 2009, The Dove Foundation Review Team has ceased reviewing all NC-17 rated movies and certain extraordinarily explicit R, PG-13 and PG-13 Horror rated films. This decision was reached due to the fact that Dove reviewers are parents or grandparents with conservative values. As such, we feel that we can no longer expose these dedicated and caring people to movies that contain distasteful and appalling stories that are focused on graphic horror and violence, and/or gratuitous depictions of explicit sex and nudity. Why Him? is considered to be such a film. Our report is therefore limited to the business information (title, rating, distributor, producer, director, actors, etc.), synopsis, and the content chart.
This film is full of lewd content and crude language. We here at Moviewise feel that there is a good reason that DOVE have this review (or ceased review), as well as no review from Movieguide.org. This should be self-explanatory of the content of this film. — www.dove.org
