Nelson Mandela Bay revival prayer campaign kicks off with worship night

ThIs year’s three months of revival prayer in Gqeberha (PE) will kick off with a worship night at Shofar Church at the 5 Ways Shopping Centre tomorrow (Friday) evening, said prayer leader Blessing Marunga.

Everybody is welcome to attend the event from 6.15pm to 7.45pm, to launch the annual prayer campaign which will continue until the end of October, he said.

In 2020 and 2021 the revival prayer campaign was held at the crosses next to the parking area at  Fountain Vineyard Christian Fellowship at 22 Newcombe Road Walmer Heights.

This year’s programme comprises prayer at the crosses from 5pm to 6pm, worship at Shofar on Friday from 6.15pm to 7.45pm led by teams from various churches, and prayer at the crosses from 3pm to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. Different churches will lead the Saturday event each week.

He said that in an encouraging show of unity several city pastors will participate in tomorrow evening’s launch worship event. “It is so wonderful that our city enjoys a sacred time of three months every year when our city gives itself to God,” said Blessing.

“I believe there is going to be a manifestation of God’s power and presence because we have been seeking Him,” he said.
