At a time when rival plans for the future of Gaza — including an out-of-the box proposal by President Donald Trump and a counter-proposal expected from a group of Arab nations who are meeting on Friday — are grabbing headlines, an Orthodox Jew in Israel believes he knows the only true solution for peace in the area.
According to Jonathan Feldstein president of the Genesis123 Foundation* and prolific writer on Middle East issues, achieving a lasting solution for the area, whose inhabitants have been indoctrinated with Jew-hating, jihadi, Islamic extremism for a century, will require not just an overhaul of the physical infrastructure but a radical change of heart.
“The solution for long-term peace in Gaza is Jesus,” says Feldstein, acknowledging that it is a radical proposal, coming from an Orthodox Jew.

Jesus as the only answer for Gaza is a conclusion Feldstein first expressed at the time of the first anniversary of the October 7 massacre in which Hamas terrorist invaders from Gaza killed 1 200 Israelis and took about 250 hostages.
Thereafter he launched a website (www.solutionforpeaceingaza.com) where he calls on people to join in his peace project, stating that the key to achieving “the safety and wellbeing of Gazans and Israelis, is to overcome the genocidal anti-Israel ideology and give Gazans a vision of peace and coexistence through changing their hearts, showing them a better idea not rooted in hate and terror”.
The website states: “The actual solution for peace in Gaza requires an ‘army’ of Christians who will restore everything. Engineers, architects, and city planners. Medical personnel, nutritionists, and educators. People with backgrounds that can rebuild and create prosperity. Christians will succeed because they love Gazans and want to see them prosper, and reject the evil Islam represented by Hamas and Iran.
In an article he wrote this week, he says: “With widespread destruction of Hamas in Gaza and the suffering that Gazans have endured as human shields at the hands of Hamas, it’s legitimate for them to see that theirs is an ideology that offers only suffering, and that their god, Allah, has failed them.
“To change the hearts of two million Palestinian Arabs in Gaza from revering an intolerant, hateful, extremist, and genocidal ideology, Christians must play a pivotal role in Gaza’s physical and spiritual restoration. With exposure to Christians and a Christianity that reveres the God of Israel, Gazans will begin to love the people of Israel and understand the prophetic significance of the State of Israel: that Israel is the cornerstone of the solution and not the foundation of their problem.
“To implement this, 100,000-200,000 Christians need to take responsibility for Gaza’s complete reconstruction. This will include professionals in engineering, construction, and all aspects of human welfare. They will spend months if not years among the population, helping rebuild their lives, and creating a foundation upon which to build their future. When Gazans are offered a diet of Christian love to counteract the buffet of hate that they have been force-fed, they might realize the opportunity to prosper.”
Asked by Gateway News what response he has had to his website appeal, he said: “There has definitely been some interest and support both with registering for information and to participate, as well as among Christian leaders. However, because I am who I am and always running and always trying to do things bigger and better, I am definitely not satisfied because I think there should be thousands and tens of thousands.”
On whether he has had any South African support, he said: “As far as South Africa, there is definitely support and I don’t think I am at liberty to discuss a relatively high-level person there who is enthusiastic about it at this time although I believe that will be public soon. I’m also pleased to share that a different version of this article [the article he wrote this week] is being translated into Afrikaans.”
