Overcomers finish the race — Angus Buchan

This morning, the Lord Jesus is reminding me, and you that it is the overcomer, the one who holds out, and holds out to the end, it is he alone that shall eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Garden of Paradise.

We need to finish the race; we cannot give up halfway and then expect the Lord to undertake. We must press hard and press on. Philippians 3:12 tells me the following: “not that I have already attained or am already perfected, but I press on that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.” Amen!

He never promised us that it would be a bed of roses and whatever the Lord has asked you to do, you need to finish, as hard as it might be. Remember, anything worth having takes a lot of effort, a lot of blood, sweat and tears as they say. So today, we thank you Lord Jesus, by Your grace I have received this instruction, that its not good starters that You are interested in, but rather good finishes that you are desiring.
