Passion Movement returning to SA for two nights of worship

The Passion Movement is bringing its life-changing global worship experience back to South Africa for two nights of worship, teaching and prayer — on Friday January 31 at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria and Saturday February 1 at DHL Stadium in Cape Town.

Each gathering will feature Louie Giglio, speaker, best-selling author, pastor and founder of Passion Conferences, along with award-winning worship group Passion Music and guests Tim and Demi-Leigh Tebow.

Tim is an athlete, author and speaker. Demi-Leigh Tebow is a former Miss South Africa and Miss Universe, as well as a speaker and author. The Tebows are widely recognised for their philanthropy, strong advocacy against human trafficking, and unwavering commitment to sharing their faith. The mission is to empower people to live for what matters most—the name and renown of Jesus Christ.

Since their first visit to South Africa in 2008, Louie Giglio and the Passion Movement have developed a deep connection with South Africa and its people. “As Passion, we’re not here to be known, but to make sure God is glorified. These aren’t just events in stadiums; it’s a heartbeat to gather people in unity for Jesus. What happens here has the power to shift things, not because of us, but because of Him. We’ve connected with churches in South Africa ahead of time to ensure this is not just a moment, but a movement that leads to discipleship and lasting impact. We are heading over with the blessing of many of our South African faith leaders and friends, knowing the only way to be truly useful is to plant seeds that bear fruit for the Kingdom. This is bigger than Passion—we’re here to be the Church,” says Louie Giglio.

Passion Music, led by Kristian Stanfill, Brett Younker, Melodie Malone, and Chidima Craig is known for their powerful live performances and iconic worship anthems such as Glorious Day, Build My Life, and There’s Nothing That Our God Can’t Do. With over 2 million albums sold and numerous chart-topping hits, their music continues to inspire hearts and lead people into deeper encounters with God. Attendees can look forward to hearing new songs from their latest 14-track album, Call on Heaven, featuring standout tracks like Nobody and He Who Is to Come, recorded live with nearly 55 000 students at Passion 2024 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

“Call on Heaven is the sound of a generation desperate to see Heaven’s reality of ceaseless praise become the reality of earth. What we experienced at Passion 2024 marked all of us forever. We’ll never forget the glimpse of God’s holiness, the weight of His glory, or the sound of His people singing, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty,’ who was, and is, and is to come.” God indwells in this recording and we pray for a Spirit of wisdom and revelation to follow wherever these songs go. To God be the Glory!” says, Kristian Stanfill of Passion Music.
