Powerful new documentary on gender and sexuality now available in Africa

An important, new, feature-length documentary, In His Image: Delighting in God’s Plan for Gender and Sexuality, that was released in the United States recently is now available for free online in Africa.

Designed to equip the Church to answer culturally controversial questions about gender and sexuality from a biblical perspective, this documentary presents much-needed truth with compassion and clarity through powerful personal testimonies, careful Bible teaching, and scientific evidence.

In an email to Gateway News Kendra White director of the film that was made by American Family Studios, the film division of the American Family Association (AFA), said: ” We have heard soooo many encouraging things from people who have seen the film. God is really doing a mighty move! Over 300 000 clicks on the video on our website and emails and prayer requests are pouring in. Praise God!

“We are currently working with international distributors to try to broadcast the film in other countries including South Africa!”

According to the AFA, In His Image was made in response to gender and sexuality anarchy in America. But it connects with a challenge that is facing believers in many parts of the world who want to display God’s love for everybody, while upholding biblical truth and facing LGBT activists who are bent on delegitimising and outlawing biblical beliefs on gender and sexuality.

Shortly after the documentary was released on October 20, White told Gateway News they had already had a few requests from South Africans to view the film.

Churches are encouraged to screen the film to get the message out.

“In His Image proclaims the truth with both courage and compassion,” said AFA president Tim Wildmon. “We will not be silent. We must clearly proclaim the truth of Scripture with the grace of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”

Dr Michael Brown, host of The Line of Fire radio programme, serves as onscreen host of In His Image. Brown said of the film: “Having been part of this important documentary from the first day, I can say with certainty there is nothing else like it. It brings together a wide range of experts, digs deep into the Scriptures, features powerful, life-changing testimonies and shows just what it means to be created in God’s image. Every Christian needs to watch this video and share it with someone they love.”

Dr James Dobson, founder and president of the Dr. James Dobson Family Institute, said, “I fully believe every pastor and counsellor and layman in the church should watch In His Image. This film can help to provide understanding without compromising what we believe.”
