Revelation Enterprises (R.E.), Doxa Deo’s Global Worship and Arts Movement is set to release their debut Afrikaans Album, titled Tot In Ewigheid (Forever) in October.
With 12 original songs penned by nine of R.E.’s songwriters and recorded by 10 anointed, young and vibrant worship leaders, this album promises to be ground-breaking within the context of the Afrikaans South African Gospel and worship music genres.
Tot In Ewigheid also gives people 12 fresh ways to respond to and express their love for Christ. The album also features a collaboration with SAMA and GHOEMA Award winning artist, Retief Burger, which is set to release later in the year.
The first radio single from the album, Ek Sal Sing is led by Lean Buys. “With this song we want to remind people that they were co-raised with Christ into victory! We can be assured that when life happens, we are reminded that God gave us a powerful ability to sing and to declare victory over every situation in life. So start singing into your marriage, into your business and into your relationships,” says Lean.
Acclaimed South African Producer Gideon Botes worked alongside Martin Bravenboer, R.E.’s music director, ensuring that this album delivers the innovative and unique sound which God has entrusted to the band. “This album resonates with the revelation of the Gospel of grace, inspiring every person to worship from the throne room reality of having been included in the love of God revealed in the finished work of Christ. It offers fresh vocabulary to worshippers who have found their identity in Christ, being commissioned to impact every sphere of society from a place of intimacy with Him,” says Liesl Marx-Davel, arts director of Revelation Enterprises.
The R.E. song writing team from each city in South Africa attend three to four song writing retreats each year. “The arts, as one of those spheres of impact, is included in our vision to change 12 cities to places where God reigns! The Word on which we base our calling and the reason for our existence is found in Habakkuk 2:14: “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea,” adds Liesl. The band hopes that through the message of this album, listeners will be inspired to go out and be His hands and feet, healing the pain, restoring the broken and reaching the lost through the power of the Holy Spirit.
“Together we are taking ownership as a unified family on a mission to establish the Kingdom of God and express our love and adoration for Him through the arts and media,”concludes Liesl.
