SA, lets pray aims to unite various denominations and cultures in interceding in prayer for South Africa, its citizens, government and the upcoming elections.

Inspired by Psalm 133 — Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity…, TEASA will bring together various leaders and roleplayers to lead the prayer event.

As TEASA says in its mission statement, it embraces millions of believers who, though diverse, stand as one in the saving essentials of Christian belief. The event hosts want to bring South Africans together to pray for the country and to intercede on public issues that affect all South Africans.

Prayer topics include:

  • Government, political leaders
  • Run-up to elections 2024
  • Electoral reform, matter before parliament
  • The country in general, national reform, revitalisation
  • Safety and security, crime, social volatility
  • Safety of women, children and the vulnerable
  • Moral regeneration
  • The economy
  • Spiritual revitalisation
  • Youth delinquency
  • Unemployment

Churches involved in the event include the Full Gospel Church SA (FGCSA), TEASA, Dutch Reformed Church (NGK), Pentecostal Holiness Church SA (PHCSA), AFM SA, Grace Bible Church, Baptist Convention SA (BCSA), SA Council of Churches (SACC) and the International Federation of Christian Churches (IFCC).

“SA, let’s pray! Join us as we pray and intercede for our beautiful country and give glory to God on 21 January 2023 at Oasis of Life Family Church, Sinaba Street, Daveyton, Benoni,” says TEASA in a media release
