SA prophetic song becomes surprise theme anthem at pan-African conference in Ghana

Three days before attending a high-level, Africa-wide business networking conference in Ghana, South African media entrepreneur Vuyokazi Joseph Matu, “led by the Holy Spirit”, recorded a prophetic song declaring the spiritual rebirth and liberation of Africa.

To her surprise, three days later, on Africa Day, March 25, her “Word declaration song”, Let There Be Light, was adopted as the theme song at the Accelerate Africa Growth Marketplace Conference (AAGMC) in Accra, Ghana, where she was an invited speaker.

“It was so humbling” to hear the song [listen below] playing in the background at the 3-day annual conference held in partnership with the government of Ghana and the office of the president, said Matu who is managing director of Voice of Africa Global Media. She said the song, which repeatedly declares “Let there be light” and calls on Africa to “deliver the new thing that has been developing in you”, will soon be available for downloading on popular music platforms.

She said she was “hugely thankful” to Michael and Mercia Mngxali for their support with the recording and for providing the backing voices for the song.

H.E. Nyakan June, a prominent Kenyan business and thought leader who convenes the AAGMC, told Gateway News: “The song was timely and aligned to the season of Africa’s rebirth — the time for Africa to redeem her identity Alkebulan and time take her place on the global stage.

“Time for Africa – Alkebulan to rise into the fulness of who God intended for her to be. A season when God is redeeming Africa’s voice and power when Africa once again rises into who she once was. Its time for Africa – Alkebulan to shine again.

“The song was divinely aligned and released into an atmosphere of birthing an accelerated move of transformation for Africa – Alkebulan. We were all blessed.”
