SA’s top Gospel artists honoured at Crown Gospel Awards

South Africa’s rich Gospel music talent was on display at the 5th SABC Crown Gospel Awards at the Durban International Convention Centre on Sunday.

Ntokozo Mbambo was the night’s biggest winner, walking away with the awards for the Best Female Artist and Best Gospel Artist, while new gospel music sensation Thina Zungu received awards for Best Song Writer and Best Gospel Song for the song Kwanqabumusa, reports the SABC.  Sipho Makhabane was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Ligwalagwala FM’s Siyadvumisa was given the nod for the Best Gospel Radio Show.

The glittering evening will be televised on December 2 at 20h00 on SABC1.
