In a world where relationships are increasingly tested by busyness, financial pressures, technology, and everyday stress, SA Marriage Week 2026 is calling couples across the country to do something countercultural — to put down deeper roots.
Running from September 1 to 7 SA Marriage Week, an annual initiative championed by Focus on the Family Africa, returns with the inspiring theme:
Rooted in love
Just as the strongest trees withstand storms because of what lies beneath the surface, healthy marriages flourish when they are deeply rooted in love, faith, commitment, grace, and intentional connection.
This year’s campaign will encourage couples to move beyond surface-level relationships and cultivate marriages that are resilient, life-giving, and built to last.
Throughout the week, couples will have access to practical resources designed to help them reconnect, grow, and strengthen their relationship, including:
- Date Night ideas to help couples reconnect.
- A specially designed Date Night Kit available online.
- Inspiring video content and practical marriage resources.
- Daily conversation starters and downloadable tools.
- Church and community engagement resources.
- Opportunities for couples to intentionally invest in their relationship throughout the week.
For couples in Durban, SA Marriage Week will also feature the exciting Love in Motion Couples Run/Walk, offering a fun and meaningful way to spend quality time together while celebrating marriage in the community.
