THE WAY

We are living in terrible times of darkness in the world; everywhere we look there is trouble and some of us are maybe even losing our way. We hear of churches closing down, we hear of pastors going back to secular work because no one is coming to church, and now we see a possibility of a world war looming very close and we don’t know what to do. We don’t know where to go and we don’t even know the way.  Well, in the Gospel of John 8:12 (NKJV) Jesus speaks clearly — Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life.”

Like never, ever before we need to understand the times in which we are living.  In John 14:5 (NKJV) we remember that Thomas said to the Lord  “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” Then in verse six, that beautiful verse that all of us know  Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” So, be encouraged, Jesus is the Way, keep your eyes fixed on Him today and not so much fixed on the news headlines, which change literally from hour to hour.  Hebrews 13:8 (NKJV) ^— Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” So, we can be very confident in the fact that the Lord is in control of our lives, and it doesn’t matter what happens in this world, He is still Lord of all.
