One of the things that came out of the recent Time2Rise annual gathering at Camp Unity, near Bloemfontein, is an understanding that South Africa is at its “Jordan moment”, says Time2Rise vision bearer Dr Arno van Niekerk.
“Ninety four was very much a Red Sea moment. Ninety four was a miracle — the fact that there wasn’t a civil war, and then God took us through the Red Sea and when we thought we would inherit the Promised Land, it didn’t turn out that way immediately,” he says in a video reflecting on the gathering from October 3 to 5.
He says that despite many things happening that are pulling SA down, there have been a number of prophetic words confirming that “we are at Jordan — we are at the point of inheriting God’s promises for South Africa”.

He urges Christians to call upon God in prayer for the “many things we’ve trusted the Lord for many years” and to “let God prepare you for action because there’s no more room for passivity in South Africa”,
“Our faith should translate into works, into action and that’s how we change South Africa. We as the Body of Christ, not in our own strength, not by might, not by power, but by my spirit says the Lord”.
Other reflections in the video include:
- The Time2Rise movement is not at end in itself but “should just play a role to lift the water level so that all the ministries, all the boats, can lift, so that all can run faster in terms of what God has called us, our mandates in the kingdom”.
- Without unity, the impact of the Body of Christ in SA and everywhere will be limited. “It’s time that we come together and it’s not about agreeing on everything — it’s about being one in Christ Jesus and in the’s one Spirit — the Holy Spirit and one Father. That is what unites us.”
- God is raising up an army of peacemakers in SA who will speak for the silent majority who want to take the country forward. More information will follow soon on an initiative called “Blessed Are The Peacemakers” which will transcend any movement, denomination or party.
- God is creating an alternative economy in readiness for the collapse of the world system. More information on this system, backed by gold and silver, will be forthcoming.
