Tony Sperandeo from Israel speaking at annual conference of Messianic Testimony in Cape Town

Pastor Tony Sperandeo

The Western Cape soon sees the arrival of another excellent pastor-preacher from Israel together with his wife Orna. Pastor Tony Sperandeo is an international speaker and author and also a well-known songwriter.

Sperandeo is the senior pastor and founder of “Ha Mayaan Congregation”, (The Assembly of the Wellspring), a Messianic congregation in the city of Kfar-Saba, not far from Tel Aviv. He is also the chairman and co-founder of “Be’ad Chaim”, the Israeli Messianic pro-life movement.

Be’ad Chaim is unique. Not only do they counsel women in crisis pregnancies, but they also give them education and practical provision. They help mums choose life by providing them with essential items the mum and her baby will need for their first year — from groceries to furniture, nappies and toiletries and a place they can go for advice whenever they need it.

Tony started the Ha Mayaan congregation 27 years ago when God called him to bring the good news to the Jewish people in Israel. Ha Mayaan is a non-denominational congregation of Jewish and Gentile Believers in Jesus founded in 1989. In Israel there are people from many nations, so preaching is in Hebrew with simultaneous earphone translation to Russian and English (and other languages according to need).

Damascus Road Worship Ministries will lead worship with some Hebrew songs

Kfar Saba is a rural town with a population of about 110 000 people, located on the border of Samaria, just 2km away from the Palestinian town of Kalkilia. This small community is seeking the truth of Jesus and needs a place of refuge where they can learn about the love and freedom found in salvation.

In South Africa, Tony will be speaking at the annual conference of Messianic Testimony on May 13 in Blouberg and at Salem Biblical Garden near Paarl on the Sunday.

Leigh Telli will display some of her latest artworks from her series The Walls and Gates of Jerusalem, which she will explain from a biblical perspective

His Scripture motto is Isaiah 61 where God’s anointed is sent to the oppressed, to the ones whose hearts are crushed, to the captives, the imprisoned and to all who mourn. His ministry includes the message of the sanctity of life, the restoration of the calling of Israel to be a light to the nations, the healing of the broken hearted, care to widows and orphans, practical humanitarian aid, worship and reconciliation between Jews and Arabs and the Christian world.

He has written the books: The shedding of innocent blood and The Mystery of Israel and the Church
