More than 2 000 people from 80 nations came up to Jerusalem to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles and worship the King of Kings writes Vivienne Myburgh national director of the International Christian Embassy (ICEJ), South Africa.

In a short update on the event taking place in Israel from September 29 to October 6, Vivienne, who is leading a group of South Africans at the annual Christian event, says a group of 18 people from Egypt are attending for the third year.

Also present, for the first time, is a group of 11 people from Turkey, she reports. Counting in online attendance, people from 93 nations participated in the Feast. Close to 100 South Africans took part in the Parade of the Nations in Jerusalem’s Pais Arena.

She continues: “The vibrant worship was led by a variety of worship teams from the nations, including Fiji and even an Iranian who assured the many Israelis present on Israeli night that many Iranians love Israel!
