This Easter, Christian audiences in South Africa are invited to step into the world of ancient Jerusalem and witness the incredible story of Jesus Christ brought to life on the big screen.
For the first time in Africa, The Thorn, a visually stunning and emotionally powerful theatrical portrayal of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, will release in selected cinemas from April 6 to 10.
The Thorn incorporates a dazzling combination of performing arts, aerial acrobatics, and breathtakingly beautiful performances that have wowed audiences across the US for nearly two decades.
The Thorn features a large-scale cast of both professional and volunteer performers who share in the heart of the message, adding depth and authenticity to this timeless story. With their help, the unforgettable tale of love, sacrifice, and redemption is brought to life.
“This cinematic production will transport audiences back in time and take you on a breath taking journey through one of the most significant stories in history” said Benjamin Cowley, CEO, Gravel Road Distribution Group. “The Thorn is not just a play, it’s an experience that leaves an imprint on one’s heart, that will be touching for any viewer,” he added.
