A distress call has gone out for cash donations to help put food on the table of Sutherland farmers who are struggling to survive in a crippling drought that is now in its seventh year.
“Onbeperkte Menswees”, a non-profit organisation which plans to provide grocery parcels to farmers in the vicinity of the Northern Cape Karoo town which is famous for its giant telescope is preparing grocery boxes worth R1 400 for distribution to farmers from December 17 to 22.
“We urgently need cash donations. Please help us assist these struggling farmers,” says Onbeperkte Menswees.
Donations can be paid into the bank account: Onbeperkte Menswees, Standard Bank, account number 411013971, branch code 014645. Proof of payment should be sent to marieletuys@gmail.com. All donations are tax-deductable as the charity is an Article 18(A) NPO. Donors who provide their email addresses will be sent donation certificates for tax deduction purposes.
