WATCH: Why the Woolworths pride campaign is unique — Andrew Selley

Our job as Christians is to preach the Gospel — not to judge the world or force a Christian worldview on those outside the Church, says Andrew Selley, leader of Joshua Generation Church and the Four12 partnership of churches, in a Facebook video clip made to answer the question: “How should Christians respond to Woolworths?”

But he says Woolworths has put the Church in a “unique quandary” because they have publicly said they are going to put money into the sexual rights movement and LGBTQ+ activists who actively work against Christianity in SA and seek to impose a worldview on “our children that we would not hold to”.

In a note accompanying the video post, Selley says that since posting the video he has learned that Woolworths are only donating profits from certain merchandise to activists. He says this somewhat impacts his message but “I am still concerned that a retailer is giving money to activists who would attack Christian’s and their values”.
