In his last monthly column of the year, Angus Buchan has some kind words of encouragement for the Gateway News team. As the founder and editor of Gateway News, I thank Angus and Shalom for their encouragement and prophetic declarations about next year. And I especially want to emphasise that the Gateway News team is made up of all the columnists, reporters, ministry partners, Wednesday prayer and counsel group, prayer partners, volunteers who help to upload and edit content, people who share their testimonies/Christian news with us, people who alert us to what God is highlighting, financial supporters, advertisers and readers who share our stories — and my wife Val who has stood with me in faith since our start in February 2022. I deeply appreciate our wonderful team members who contribute so generously towards the goal of telling the God stories of Africa to bring hope in Jesus and reflect God’s heart for the season — Andre
This is a letter from myself, my wife, my family and my co-workers at Shalom Ministries. We want to thank the staff at Gateway News, Andre Viljoen and his team.
We want to tell you that we love you and we are walking very closely with you, and we are standing with you, and we are believing for greater things for you in 2025.
I leave that beautiful scripture with you from 1 Corinthians 2:9 (NKJV)which says: “Eye has not seen, ear has not heard and nor has entered into the heart of a man the things which God has prepared for those that love Him.”
I see you as those very special folk, so lift your eyes up, for 2025 is going to be more intense, but it’s also going to be more miraculous. So, expect great things from God and attempt great things for God. Quotation from William Carey who also took the Gospel, like you are doing at Gateway News, to the people of India, translated Gods word in Sanskrit, Hindustani, and all the other complicated Indian languages. I see you doing exactly the same thing, sending the Word of God out through Gateway News, to a multitude of people that you have never even met, but you will meet them one day in Heaven, if you do not grow weary in doing good Galatians 6:9: “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”
I, personally am very excited for South Africa for 2025. I believe there will be many miracles, signs and wonders taking place as the undiluted Gospel is preached, written and proclaimed through social media, through television and through word of mouth.
Jesus bless you richly
Angus Buchan & the Shalom Team
