There are currently approximately 15 million Fulani people living in Africa.

They are believed to be the largest semi-nomadic group in the world and are found across West and Central Africa – from Senegal to the Central African Republic. The vast majority (about two-thirds) live in Nigeria.

The Fulani Militia is considered to be the fourth deadliest terror group in the world and has surpassed Boko Haram as the greatest threat to Nigerian Christians.

Many believe that the attacks are motivated by Jihadist Fulani’s desire to take over farmland and impose Islam on the population and are frustrated with the government that is believed to be enabling such atrocities.

This year, many Fulani believers have received audio Bibles as part of an ongoing effort to deliver God’s Word among the Fulani tribes in central and northern Sahel.

Distributions of Bibles among the Fulani have resulted in many salvations and the spread of the Gospel across the Sahel over the past few years as many are eager to hear God’s Word.

Let us pray:

  • Pray that these Fulani Christians will grow in their faith as they learn the Scriptures.
  • Pray that many more Muslims in the Sahel will be eager to hear Scripture and will come to know Christ.
  • Pray for peace in Nigeria, and for the Lord to comfort those grieving the loss of loved ones due to violence.
