ACDP donates clothes, toys to Kayelitsha kids

Children in Khayelitsha, Cape Town were blessed with warm clothes and 150 toys donated by the ACDP during a Mandela Day outreach last week.

ACDP councillor Mongezi Mabungane, who haded the gifts to Yonwaba Educare Centre in Site C Khayelitsha, said it warmed his heart to see the children’s happy faces. Mabungane was accompanied by ACDP Women of Destiny coordinator in Khayelitsha, Thandie Celani.

The principal of Yonwaba Educare Centre, Ayanda Fonte, was very pleased to receive the donation.

Later, Manungane and Celani handed over more warm clothes to Nokwanda Educare Centre, Khayelitsha. The centre director Nokwand Mvana said she was delighted with the gift as many children are in need.
