Attractive compact NLT Bible

I find this compact edition of the Bible particularly attractive. I mean that firstly in the sense of it being good to look at and to hold. The version shown here is described as “LeatherLook Hot Pink”, and has a delicate spray of flowers pressed onto the cover. (It is also available in purple, green, charcoal and tan.) This Bible has gilded page edges and is Smyth-sewn for durability. The small size (15,5 x 11cm) makes for easy portability.

Also appealing is the fact that despite being so compact, this Bible edition includes introductions for each book and a topical Bible verse finder. “Welcome to the Bible!” and “You Can Know God Personally” sections make the Bible text particularly accessible to new Christians. In addition, the New Living Translation text flows well and makes for easy reading and understanding.

A presentation page is included, which adds to its appeal as a gift. An excellent choice perhaps for a young person about to do some gap year traveling, as it is something easy to pack and an item to be treasured in many senses.

One small drawback of so small a Bible is of course its print size. But it is not unmanageable and I for one would value owning such a convenient, portable and pretty Bible.
