Back in 2016 the grounds at the Voortrekker Monument thundered and the peopled [at Bethel Music worship evening where team members prophesied over South Africa] roared in response to Will these bones live? (Ezekiel 37)
Now not even a year later it has become so real to us, but, we are not afraid, we are rising up with one voice.
Only God can change South Africa
The shaking has begun on the streets, in the taxis, in the banks and in parliament. People are talking, chanting for change, singing and dancing in the streets and only God can change South Africa.
Our prayers are more real and poignant. As it was with Ezekiel but now collectively we prophesy to what looks like an impossible scene. We are marching shoulder to shoulder and prophesying to dead bones to come to life. We were promised there was going to be a shaking, and it has begun.
When Ezekiel saw that the bones were a large immovable mass before him, God told the prophet to prophesy again. But this time he was to prophesy breath.
This is the second wind of the prophetic movement, which we are currently in, that will transform the dry bones into an exceedingly great army.
It’s time for prophets and prophetic people to release God’s revelation from their mouths, calling those things which are not as though they were.
Prophesy life! Prophesy peace! Prophesy reversals! Prophesy provision. Prophesy unity. Prophesy a move of the Spirit of God in South Africa. Prophesy salvations. Prophesy that South Africa will be saved. Prophesy healings and miracles. Open your mouths and speak it, decree it, for we will to see it come to pass.
Breathing new life
The church must not get “out of breath” and tire. God wants to breathe new life into us so we can arise as this exceeding great army of believers … a force for righteousness, justice and freedom.
The word used for breath is Ruach. Ruach means “a violent exhale, bringing courage, releasing a prophetic spirit, imparting warlike energy and executive and administrative power, endowing men with various gifts, releasing the energy of life, releasing the manifestation of the Shekinah glory of God.
Let the songwriters ride on the wind of the Spirit and write the songs of freedom and healing. Now is the time for the Song of the Lord to be released.
Filled with a peace and joy
In John 20:21-22 it says, Jesus said to them again, ‘Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.’ And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.’
As you do this you will be filled with a peace and joy that equips you for the task that is at hand. Do not let your hearts be troubled. Do not fear.
This is a time for us to take time in God’s presence to allow Jesus to breathe on us and fill us with His Holy Spirit again so that we are ready to release His breath into situations that we will face and do face in South Africa.
Allow His breath to transform every area of dry bones in our lives into a prophetic expression of warlike energy, power and life which will release the Shekinah glory of God everywhere we go!
What a comeback! From dry, scattered bones to an exceedingly great unified army! There will be healings and miracles that will take (and are already taking) place that you will testify to as you press into the Lord and decree and declare His way.
Clashing of swords
A reminder that it’s not by power, nor by might that we fight this battle, for the battle is the Lord’s even though we clash swords in the Spirit. It is He that makes war on our behalf. His grace is sufficient for us, His grace and rest will keep us in perfect peace so we don’t wear out.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12
Generals International 2017 (Extract from Cindy Jacobs)
This great convergence of the ages is coming with a historic fourth wave of the Holy Spirit and a reformation that will lead to the great transformation of nations.
The wind of the Holy Spirit is going to blow with new renewal movements arising in the youth upon centuries-old churches. The power of the Holy Spirit will be poured out in a new, fresh way, manifesting through the young and old. The miracles that have seemed only to happen infrequently are going to be dramatic.
