Mighty Men Western Cape announced today that men are invited to a Mighty Men Conference from September 6 to 8 next year at a new venue near Robertson.

“We are very excited. The Lord has provided us with a beautiful venue on a farm, surrounded by mountains, right on the R62, so we can actually do something,” said Juan van Tonder who is heading up the team that will host next year’s event — the first Western Cape MMC since 2019.

More information about the event will be posted on the mightymenwesterncape Facebook page and Juan can also be contacted for more details at +27 71 612 2556. But the big news is that the MMC WC is back and men are asked to share the good news, he said.

Juan, who a Robertson-based evangelist who conducts crusades in Africa, said his heart’s cry is that next year’s Mighty Men event will be one of the sparks that ignites “the big revival that we all are awaiting”.

“Our main focus will be the men because we know that if Jesus gets the husband, the man, the whole household and society changes,” he said.

He said that in his work in different communities “we really see such an increase in fatherless children, running around, doing nothing. So that is one of the things that we need to address as well”.

“And also just telling men there to be the father to the fatherless,” he said.

He said the steering committee is already working on the programme for September and expect to have exciting news later about local and international speakers who will minister at the event.
