CHRISTIAN NEWS THAT BUILDS FAITH AND A BIBLICAL WORDLVIEW

Andre Viljoen, Editor

We (in partnership with Transformation Christian Network) launched Gateway News in February 2011 in response to a call from God to start an online Christian newspaper where we were, i.e. Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Since then, the vision has expanded to reaching every Christian in South Africa with quality, local, national and international Christian news and news from a Christian perspective. We believe that God will use Gateway News to build faith in Jesus Christ and empower Christians in SA to maintain a Biblical worldview and to be effective witnesses in a secular culture that is hostile to the Gospel.

Afrika Mhlophe, Chairman of Board.

With the Lord’s help we are building a great team of writers and supporters all over the country.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.
  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
  • We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.
  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; of the saved to the resurrection of life and of the lost to the resurrection of damnation.
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
