Wales were denied a first Test win in South Africa as the Springboks snatched a dramatic victory in an exhilarating second Test in Nelspruit.
Tries from Jamie Roberts and Alex Cuthbert put dominant Wales in control. Ill-discipline, with Luke Charteris and Dan Biggar yellow-carded, allowed South Africa back into the game through a penalty try and a Cornal Hendricks try. Ken Owens’s try extended the lead but Willie Le Roux’s effort and a converted penalty try gave the Boks victory.
Wales had not been behind in the game at the Mbombela Stadium until that moment, two minutes from time.
Referee Steve Walsh awarded a penalty try after Liam Williams shoulder-charged Hendricks into touch just short of the try-line, and Morne Steyn’s conversion denied Wales only a second win over the Springboks.
New Zealand beat England 36-13 to complete series whitewash

New Zealand condemned England to a 3-0 series whitewash with a chastening victory in the third Test in Hamilton.
The All Blacks tore England’s defence apart in the first half, wing Julian Savea and scrum-half Aaron Smith scoring two tries apiece. England were far better in the second half, Marland Yarde crossing for a try before Savea completed his hat-trick.
The result means Steve Hansen’s side equal the record of 17 consecutive Test victories for a top-tier nation. They join the All Blacks team of 1965-69 and the South African side of 1997-98 and will break the record with a victory over Australia in Sydney on 16 August.
The All Blacks have not been beaten at home since South Africa won 32-29 in Hamilton in 2009 and have won 36 of their last 38 Tests, with one draw and one defeat.

Rosberg wins in Austria to stretch F1 lead
Nico Rosberg won the Austrian Formula One Grand Prix in a Mercedes one-two finish on Sunday stretch his championship lead over teammate Lewis Hamilton to 29 points after eight races.
Williams drivers Valtteri Bottas and Felipe Massa, who had started on the front row, finished third andfourth respectively on a sunny afternoon at the Red Bull Ring in the southern Styrian hills.
The victory was Rosberg’s third of the season and his team’s seventh. It was also their sixth one-two finish of the year and came after Massa had ended their run of seven successive pole positions.
Rosberg now has 165 points to Hamilton’s 136 in the drivers’ standings with 11 rounds remaining.

Andy Murray: Wimbledon butterflies will be different this time
Wimbledon champion Wimbledon 2014
Venue: All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club Date: 23 June to 6 July
Pride, pressure and nerves are what I expect to feel when I walk onto Centre Court as the defending champion at one o’clock on Monday.
I’ve already felt the familiar butterflies in my stomach that I experience every year before the start of the Championships, but a year on from winning the title it will obviously be a very different experience this time.
If I don’t know exactly what to expect on Monday, the build-up has been much the same as in previous years. A side from a bizarre encounter with a runaway dog and some traffic – more of that later – I’ve been able to focus on the fact that I have an opening match to win.
