Book preview: ‘The God I Never Knew — Robbie Morgan

Gateway News asks Robbie Morgan some questions about his third book on his favourite topic — intimacy with God

1. Tell us a little about yourself

I am a 76-year-old retired farmer who has just completed writing a book. Married to the most amazing lady (Marian) for 49 years. Three kids — one son (Richard) and two daughters (Jill and Cathy) all with their own kids now. My passion in the autumn days of my life is intimacy with God- — Father ,Son and Holy Spiri –,as an ordinary man!

2. What inspired you to write the book?

When my Mom was dying of cancer I wrote her a letter which sowed the seeds for wanting to put things in writing. I love playing with words and expressing myself on paper.

3. What is the book about?

The book’s title is Getting To Know The God I Never Knew. This is a personal story of my adventure in getting to know a God who existed for me at a young age but only in my latter years has become truly real, personal and present.

4. Who should read the book?

This book is written for the ordinary believer and unbeliever. I also believe that this book is a message to the Church in this day and age. I simply believe I am only a messenger and that the message is from our glorious God to us all!
