Freedom of Religion South Africa reports that the CRL Rights Commission is providing the faith communities of South Africa with a rare and important opportunity to participate in a religious freedom survey.
The survey is intended to gauge the health of religious freedom in South Africa and will result in an official Report, which will carry significant legal weight in guiding future Government policy and laws, says FOR SA.
The deadline for submissions is 12pm on Friday September 29.
FOR SA urges religious organisations and people of faith “not to miss this opportunity to have your say on some of the most critical areas where, in our view, our constitutionally guaranteed right to religious freedom is (or has been) in danger of erosion.”To assist you in responding to some of the questions in the Survey, the FOR SA website has a special page, which includes their draft responses to the questions for your information and consideration.
