Christian singer, songwriter Darlene Zschech who has been undergoing aggressive treatment since she was diagnosed with breast cancer in December 2013 says her doctor has just confirmed that there is no sign of cancer in her body.
“In the good Dr’s very South African accent he said ‘this is quite miraculous Darlene’!!,” says Zschech in a blog posted yesterday of her recent visit with her husband Mark, to the surgeon’s office during the first round of checkups and scans since surgery and chemotherapy.
“We have wept, danced, hugged our arms out, and have literally just said THANK YOU to Jesus as many times as one can,” she writes.
Thanking all who have prayed for her during her battle against cancer, she says: “Again, I thank each and every one of you for your relentless prayers, I have felt the effects of them a million times over, and I just sit here today, one very grateful woman.
“Life will never be the same, I believe it will be SO much better. Even though I will have checkups every four months, and will be on medication for 10 years, I feel I have been given an official ‘second half’.. one which is dedicated to the things of God like never before.”
The former Hillsong worship leader and pastor, who released her first solo album, Revealing Jesus, last year, says that in other momentous news in her family over the last two weeks is that her middle daughter, Chloe, has become engaged.
