ELECTIONS OPINION: Afrika Mhlophe warns voters of danger of mixing politics and African religion

In a video message (see above) to the nation ahead of the election next month, author, speaker and media personality Afrika Mhlophe warns that Christians in South Africa cannot afford to ignore the reality of the role of African tradtional religion in certain political parties. If we do, we will be accountable to God as an accessory to disobeying Him and the evil consequences for the nation. Showing clips of parties who invite sangomas to practice their craft at their events, he says we need to be informed when we go to the polls so that we can obey God’s instruction to choose ethical and God-fearing leaders.

A wise, discerning word from a man of God. Let us all pray that God’s people, as they vote, will seek God’s will for a righteous South Africa going forward, and that the powers of darkness will be totally removed from the scene..

  3. EVERY Christian in SA can and must make a difference and set an example on every level, sphere and terrain, 24/7, 6 days a week! We as confessing Christians are God’s 1 Cor 3:9-15 co-workers! The “sit in the pews” year in and year out while “spiritual leaders” absorb glory on platforms, pulpits and conference posters, – and politicians employ witchcraft, – had done nothing to make sure that SA is a Godly country setting a Christian example in, around and from SA territory.
