First-of-kind ‘God of Abraham Hymnal’ caters for Messianic Jews, Christian Zionists

Recognising the awakening of Jewish followers of Jesus and their Christian supporters, an all-embracing new hymnal has been published. Described as a bold new project for a passionate generation, the God of Abraham Hymnal is reported to be history’s first-ever Christian Zionist and Messianic Jewish hymnbook.

Along with all the classics, it features hundreds of historic Christian Zionist hymns of intercession for the Jewish people and support for their return to Israel.

Unapologetically pro-Israel, the publishers encourage us to scroll down the home page at ourhymnal.com to view sample pages and learn what makes it different from all the others. Charles Wesley’s O For a Thousand Tongues to Sing is there with all its many verses, alongside other great standards, while songs like For Zion’s Sake I Will Not Rest are also included.

Izzy Avraham, editor of the new hymnal

The book is organised into 50 chapters themed to the biblical Jewish holidays and is worship-leader friendly with PowerPoints and sheet music available. See ourhymnal.com/resources. It is also described as the first Gen Z hymnbook, available too as a YouTube shorts playlist. And it is beginner-friendly, with the facility to sing along karaoke-style to all the tunes at ourhymnal.com/melodies.
