Global call to women to join 3-day fast for Iran

The A Million Women movement has issued a global call to women to fast for Iran for the first three days of April.

A Million Women says in a YouTube message that since they launched their Global Esther Fast at the beginning of the year thousands of women all over the world are fasting for the first 3 days of each month.

The March fast coincided with Purim the holiday that celebrates how the the faith and courage of biblical queen Esther in ancient Persia led to a divine reversal that delivered the Jewish people from a plot to destroy them. It also coincided with the start of the launch of the US-Israel military campaign against the regime in Iran which was Persia. This month’s fast aligns with another biblical calendar time – the Passover holiday

“From the story of Esther during Purim to what God is doing today, we believe history is being shaped through prayer,” says A Million Women.

In the YouTube message, they share a prophetic dream about a rising movement of women across the globe, and the call for the Western Church to stand in faith for Iran which is also home to  one of the world’s fastest-growing Christian movements – led largely by women?

Campaign prayer points include:

  • Freedom in Iran
  • Strength for underground church/believers across the globe
  • A global outpouring of the Holy Spirit
  • Women rising as modern-day Esthers
