God is busy raising a team of Heaven-sent South African men and women who are answering a call to rebuild South Africa, says veteran Christian marketplace leader Dr Michael Louis in an intriguing social media post he penned last month.
Because I was on a sabbatical break at the time he shared his take on a divine intervention in South Africa, I only got to interview him about it this week.
Louis, who chairs the Independent Candidate Association, told me he stands by his post in which he says there is a growing number of selfless “businesswomen and men, farmers, industrialists, marketers, PhDs, engineers, civic leaders, professors, software developers, NPOs, IT specialists, entrepreneurs,” from all over the country and from the South African diaspora, who are ready to bring doable solutions that can be integrated into the economy immediately, creating jobs for millions.

“I really feel very called with my experience, both in business and politics to be able to be a type of rainmaker to consolidate the endeavours without wanting any position myself,’ he said in the interview.
“I’m engaged with a cross-section of people, including politicians and businesspeople, to see how we can, as Christians, stand together under one umbrella to protect our families and our values for the future,” he said.
“And so all efforts must be done to stand up. But I think God’s going to do it in a different way. I think it goes about reformation,” he said.
In his August post, Louis wrote: “Out of the desert in Abu Dhabi, I received a 20-minute voice message from a South African aeronautical engineer with a PhD.
“He described a conversation he had with God that told him to return to South Africa and gather all South Africans from the four corners of the world to return and build.
“Over the past weeks, I’ve received dozens of messages, publicly and privately, from South Africans around the world. I have held numerous telephone calls and virtual meetings that have encouraged me beyond belief.
“What began as a post titled ‘How do we get the train back on the rails?’ has led to something extraordinary. A response I never imagined.”
Louis told me that since sharing his post, he has spoken with the aeronautical engineer in Abu Dhabi, who is a very committed Christian who firmly believes that God spoke to him.
He said that anybody interested in being part of the movement that he believes is forming around “reclaiming our God-given destiny” may contact him at Michael@hsl-sa.com.

Municipalities salaries are higher than average from top to bottom. How do you correct that? I worked for one, now retired, many positions are not needed. People do not work office hours. Walk around town during office hours. How will this be corrected? More are paid to salaries than services. No Monday left for services. Not to mention fraud by tenders?
