God’s Karoo Women Conference moves to Jeffreys Bay

The God’s Karoo Women Conference that was launched in Willowmore in the heart of the Karoo in 2015 will be hosted at Mentors Country Estate, Jeffreys Bay from November 4 to 6.

The theme of this year’s conference is “New Beginnings”, inspired by the fact that it will be the 8th consecutive annual conference and the number eight stands for new beginnings, says event founder Sonja Spies.

As well as a new venue the God’s Karoo Women Conference also has a new website (https://godskaroowomen.co.za/) where women can get more information and register for the event.

“Many of us feel like we need a new beginning sometime in our life. Or, sometimes, a new beginning is forced upon us, such as going through a divorce or a death of a loved one who was a major part of who we defined ourselves to be,” says a message on the website. It says the heart of the conference is to pursue the example of great women of the Bible such as Esther, Ruth, Deborah and Mary whose hearts were surrendered to God to do His work.

Speakers at the conference are Lynette Beer, Dr Melané De Villiers, Alwyn Uys, and Essie Tromp. The worship will be led by Carindé from the group Onbeskaamd.
