A new, inspirational Afrikaans film, Hartsbegeertes, that deals with the everyday struggles of two families who discover hope, love and a greater purpose in their darkest hour, will premiere before selected guests and media at Maxi Cineplex Hatfield Plaza, Pretoria on September 12, says Humble Pie Entertainment in a media release.
The Renier Weideman film which has English subtitles, will be screened at nationwide events on October 3, with bookings through the website www.harstbeegeertes.co.za. It will be shown in selected independent cinemas from October 4.
The lead roles are played by Angelique Gerber, Renier Weideman, Liane Heyl and Jacques Gombault, Julie Strijdom, JP Keyter, Liane Heyl, Renier Weideman, Richard Van Der Westhuizen and the film is directed by Willie Olwage.
It is presented by Humble Pie Entertainment, Under Construction and Minorah Ministries. The Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) is partnering with the release of the film in which the wife of one of the main characters is diagnosed with cancer.
