Last week we reported on a fired-up outreach group’s fruitful visit to a Johannesburg hospital. Well it seems when the fire of God is blazing in believers’ hearts fruitful outreach becomes natural.

Duan van Schalkwyk who led the hospital visit tells Gateway News that yesterday he presented the gospel to about 1 500 children at the Marais Viljoen High School in Alberton and at least half of them responded to an altar call, choosing  to make Jesus their Lord.

“It was really amazing to see how receptive these kids were and I know God has a big purpose for them,” said the LRC Church youth pastor who visited the dual medium school with a gap year team from the church and a group called Reach which focuses on bringing the gospel to schools.

“It’s really awesome to see what God is doing all around South Africa, and like the scripture says, the field is ready for harvest. It makes me really excited!” said Van Schalkwyk.
