Powerful prayer, preaching and prophetic actions filled the programme of the Gauteng launch of the “Africa Back to God in a Bible Way” campaign at the Community Hall in Akasia, Tshwane on September 18 and 19.
The campaign to revive the historic “Africa Back to God” revival message given by God to Pastor Nicholas Bhengu in 1950 and received again by Apostle Patrick Madikiza in December last year, was launched in Cape Town in March and has since been taken to various centres in the Eastern Cape.
Apostle Linda Gobodo reports that they started proceedings on September 18 by “raising an altar unto the Lord” at the venue. Then Madikiza “shared the message of African Back to God under the theme of Uniting the Body of Christ” — a call for intercessors and the 5-fold ministry to work together in calling Africa back to God, ” she says.
“We gave the descendants of these pioneers prayer shawls signifying the mantle of prayer their forefathers and mothers carried to be able to spearhead these revivals. We also gave them batons to run with the message,” reports Gobodo.

She says they also read out a prophetic word by Jennifer Le Claire that was released on August 7 2020 during the online memorial service of Apostle PF Molefe the last pioneer to pass on.
“We gave batons to representatives from the nine Provinces and to the nations (Botswana, Swaziland and Lesotho) who were present,” she says.
Gobodo says the gathering carried out a prophetic action depicting the difference between the government of the people according to 1 Samuel 8 and the Government of God according to 2 Samuel 5:1-3. “We inaugurated, in the Spirit, the president of the Government of God, the David of Azaniah (South Africa).
She says: “The name Azaniah was given to Intercessors on the 2nd October 2021 saying when we pray for our nation we must use this name. He said the name South Africa is associate with oppression. It is not even a name it is a location. Azaniah is the new name the Lord gave to our nation (Is 62:2) It is Hebrew name meaning God has heard/God is listening).”
In a further prophetic action, she says they redeemed the land of Azaniah (South Africa). “This journey started in 2012 when the Lord reminded us about the Land Act of 1913: that in 2013 it will be 100 years, therefore we must approach the Courts of Heaven to bring the matter to Him.”
She says it was the third time the Lord had raised the land matter, which they had also dealt with in 2020. “This time [September 2026] He said to bring the soil from all the provinces as we bring the matter to Him. We took soil from all nine provinces and mixed it together and prayed over it using Scriptures to redeem the land.
“We first had representatives from the Afrikaner community bringing repentance for taking the land and leaving the majority of the people of this nation landless. We forgave them. We went to the courts of heaven to bring the case of the land before the Lord. We repented as the Body of Christ for not loving the land and not taking care of it. Then we redeemed the land.
“After that we married the land according to Isaiah 62. There was rejoicing and jubilation by the people for the great things the Lord did for us in these gatherings.”
Gobodo says: “It seems as if the Lord is taking the message [Africa Back to God] to the gateway cities.”
She explains that they began to pay attention to “gateway cities” after Veronica West released a prophetic word over SA on April 16, titled:
“Watch for a divine dismantling of demonic strongholds will begin to take place in the Gateway Cities of the nation.”
West understood by the Spirit that Cape Town was one of the gateway cities. “As Intercessors we started praying and asking the Lord to reveal the rest of them. It was only in 2021 when the Lord took the then Chief Justice with a team from Healing The Nation to different provinces to call Intercessors and the Body of Christ to align with the purpose of God for the nation which is the birth of an unprecedented revival in the history of the Earth.
“Through that journey the Lord revealed the Gateway Cities and He revealed that they are not 10 but 12,” says Gobodo.
The gateway cities identified by the intercessors are: Mahikeng, Boksburg, Tshwane (Pretoria), Teemaneng (Kimberley), Cape Town, Gqebera (PE), East London, Mthatha, Durban, Standerton, Polokwane and Kroonstad.
The next Africa Back to God launch will be in Durban on the Otober 17.
