Gateway News has just received an update letter from Rachel Kalidass visionary of the upcoming Awakening SA National Day of Prayer and Repentance on March 22. See the full letter below. We have also just been informed that Dr. Michael Cassidy founder of African Enterprise and a pioneer of faith and reconciliation is set to deliver a keynote message on prayer, repentance, and national transformation at the event.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: AWAKENING SOUTH AFRICA – A NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER & REPENTANCE
Dear South Africa,
The Awakening South Africa: A National Day of Prayer & Repentance will still take place on 22 March 2025 at FNB Stadium, but we have some important updates to share:
● The BIG stadium event will still take place – It remains scheduled for a later date yet to be announced. However, due to the stadium auditorium capacity constraints, we are unable to accommodate everyone at the gathering on 22 March.
● Limited seating available – While this will be a powerful moment of prayer and repentance, the venue has restricted capacity, and only a smaller number of attendees can be hosted on the 22nd of March event. Invites are sent to these invited guests only.
● No ticket sales for this event – Tickets will be made available for the larger event in the future. We will announce the date details soon. No tickets are required for invited guests attending.
● Challenging circumstances – Inclement weather, including rain and flooding across the country, has impacted preparations. Additionally, delays in receiving donor and sponsor funds have affected some logistical arrangements.
● Join us via livestream – We invite all friends, families, churches and communities to unite in spirit by tuning in to the livestream on 22 March. Let us come together in prayer, believing in God’s power to bring healing and restoration to South Africa. Now, more than ever, we are called to humble ourselves, seek God, and stand together in unity. Let us turn back, repent, and intercede for the future of our nation. Stay connected for further updates and prepare your hearts for a powerful move of God.

in 2000 the Lord was speaking so clearly about the body of Christ coming together as one people that they may seek His face, worship and enquire of Him. Graham Power started a move and today it is overwhelming to see the number of men and women that God is raising up in SA to further His vision, His purpose and His will. I know so much happened behind the scenes, Michael Cassidy will know that more than anyone but look at what the Lord is doing now. The prayer and praise meetings , the work to bring the body together and the initiatives to transform the country and those beyond its borders are extraordinary. There is much to give thanks for.
