One day Vikash’s wife, Sam, found him sitting on the floor in the garage. This time she did what she wishes she had done years before — she called a drug rehab to come and collect him. Vikash was angry at first, but now, over a year later, he introduces himself as “a grateful recovering addict”. Not only that, he is also helping other addicts on the challenging road to recovery through a rehab (Chosen Drug Rehabilitation Centre) he started in Gqeberha (PE), which is open 24-7 to meet with people struggling with addiction. Vikash, Sam and recovering addicts Deshalin and Jaun-Claud share testimonies of hope for addicts and their families in a podcast with Ethan Black of Kingfisher FM.
