Men’s Stories: ‘God walked me through’ cancer journey

In a podcast interview with Ethan Black of Kingfisher FM, school sports director Maarten Molenaar shares how God carried him through a tough season after he was unexpectedly diagnosed with cancer. Even before he got that shocking news, God had told him that he needed to listen to His voice and to His voice only. Through the ordeal of cancer treatment, he said God encouraged him and allayed his fears with certain key Scriptures that were highlighted to him again and again by supportive, faith-filled friends, in books and even in a movie. Now, cancer free, Maarten says he can take no credit for the healing journey. “I can only, really, just give God all the glory and honour. He walked me through it.”
