Mossel Bay hosts successful first Mighty Men conference

Thousands of men gathered at Mossel Bay last weekend for the inaugural MMCMB23

Thousands of men of all ages and from all corners of South African descended on Mossel Bay from December 15 to17 for the town’s first Mighty Men Conference.

Head organiser of MMCMB23 Lukas Swart acknowledged that the success of the event was chiefly due to the presence of the Spirit of the Lord in the event right from the start.

He also identified three other components that contributed to the success of the event.

“More than 50 local men worked together tirelessly for six months leading up to the conference, meticulously planning every detail of the event. Logistics around layout, traffic flow, parking, vendors, sound and seating were carried out flawlessly,” he said.

Secondly, said Swart, the consistent quality of contributions from the different speakers slotted in during the weekend’s line-up was invaluable. Among them were beloved singer Joe Black, record-breaking Lukas Korff from the USA, and pastors John Mathuhle and Desmond Wessels – all of whom embraced the theme “Arise Mossel Bay” to inspire and motivate attendees.

“The final component contributing to the exceptional success of MMCMB23 was that, after three days of seamless togetherness, there was a true sense of brotherhood and profound appreciation. Praise for the speakers was voiced far and wide and during Sunday’s family picnic, the camaraderie was extended to wives and children and the broader community of every man in attendance,” he said.

Swart also thanked many women who contributed to the success of the event through their efforts throughout the weekend and many Mossel Bay citizen volunteers who had given selflessly of their time and energy..
