Release the sound of victory and new beginnings over South Africa — Pearl Kupe

Over the past few weeks, our nation, South Africa, has been reeling from much violence, looting, and criminality that took place after former President Zuma’s incarceration. The nation was left reeling socially, economically, and otherwise, after weeks of unbridled rampages, rebellion, and anarchy.

Estimated damage
Shopping malls have been burnt down and razed to the ground. Shops all over South Africa have been looted and emptied, and major infrastructure damage has occurred over the past few weeks. Most of the damage took place in the provinces of KwaZulu Natal and Gauteng. The financial impact on KZN alone is estimated at R20-billion with 150 000 jobs at risk, 50 000 informal traders and 40 000 businesses affected. One hundred shopping malls were calculated to have been burnt down or to have suffered significant damage, with approximately 3 000 of the shops looted. Around 1 400 ATMs (automated teller machines) suffered damage, and around 300 bank and post office outlets are said to have been vandalised. The overall estimated damage said to have been incurred amounted to a R50-billion impact on South Africa’s GDP.

It’s time to rebuild the walls!
So, what do we do, South Africa? Do we just cry, lament, mourn, and have a pity party? There is a time to cry and, like Nehemiah, we have cried and we have mourned for our beloved nation. Nehemiah cried when he saw the damage that had been done to the walls of Jerusalem. In Nehemiah 1:4, the Word of God says: “So it was, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for many days; I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven”.

Nehemiah didn’t just cry though, he got up, prayed, and started to rebuild the walls. Not only were the walls rebuilt, but they were rebuilt in a record time of 52 days! We are trusting God for the same for South Africa!

Releasing a sound of victory and new beginnings
And so, over the past few days, the Lord said to gather eight of His vessels from around the world. Eight, being the number of new beginnings, and He said to gather them to release a sound and that this sound must be a sound of “victory and new beginnings” in line with Isaiah 43:18. Let us call South Africa out of her wilderness and into her new season!

I will do a new thing, says the Lord!
Isaiah 43:18,19 says the following, “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert”.

We are grateful that the Lord has selected a team of international vessels to stand in agreement with us as we make prophetic declarations over the land.
